A safari in Africa is about experiencing the sight of wildlife in absolute freedom within some of the most spectacular natural environments in the world. The atmosphere of privacy, nature, and peace allows you to fully immerse yourself in every moment of the trip.
What is a typical day of safari like?
You will be gently awakened by the magnificent songs of hundreds of birds. You can enjoy a delicious coffee or tea before meeting up with your guide.
The morning safari lasts around 4 hours, sometimes including a delightful bush breakfast enjoyed outdoors, or a pause to savor coffee, cookies, and snacks for a replenishing breakfast at the lodge.
During midday, you have the necessary time to rest, explore the lodge area, and indulge in a diverse and tasty lunch.
In the afternoon, you’ll set out again on a new safari adventure in search of Africa’s iconic animals. This excursion lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours and concludes with a wonderful sundowner, where you’ll relish a refreshing cocktail as you watch the sunset.
As the last light of the evening fades, you return to the accommodation to rest and enjoy a delicious dinner.
Nights end with a campfire under the stars, where memories of each day are shared with family, partners, or friends.
- The activities are carried out in harmony with the most active schedules of the wild animals.
- 2 safaris per day:
Morning (4 hrs) and Afternoon (2-3 hrs) - Breakfast and snacks throughout the day
- Sunset cocktail and dinner
- End the day with a campfire under the stars.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can children, elderly individuals, or people with disabilities participate in a Safari?
Classic safaris, guided by local experts, in 4×4 vehicles, are the safest and most comfortable way to experience this adventure. They are ideal for those who want to enjoy and relax without physical demands, such as honeymooners, families with young children, large groups, elderly individuals, or those with physical disabilities.
Some of these safaris require participants to be at least 15 years old and have a normal physical condition that allows them to engage in basic activities.
What is the best time of year to go on a Safari?
Africa and all its countries are year-round destinations. There isn’t a specific time to go on a safari; rather, it’s about knowing where and when to go. We provide personalized advice to ensure your experience is the best it can be.
In general, there’s a Dry Season (Winter, from May to October) and a Green or Rainy Season (Summer, from November to April). The main difference lies in the colors of the landscapes, as during the dry season, grasses wither, and many deciduous species lose their foliage, in addition to variations in temperatures and rainfall. During the green season, temperatures are higher, and isolated storms create an incomparable natural spectacle.
How long does a Safari usually last?
The duration of a safari depends on how much time you have for travel and your preference for nature-related activities. However, we don’t recommend a safari of fewer than 4 days, as the probability of having the best experience in terms of encountering various species and wildlife sightings decreases significantly.
Based on our extensive experience with safaris of all kinds, a safari lasting 6 to 7 days is ideal for the typical traveler, and we generally recommend spending 3 nights in each park or reserve.
Will I be able to see the animals I want?
Natural safari experiences focus on the diverse species of animals and their ecological relationship with their habitat. When you go on a safari in Africa, depending on the destination you visit, you’ll have the opportunity to see a wide range of birds and mammals, such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, buffalos, lions, various antelopes, wild boars, and very likely leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, and rhinos.
However, nature is unpredictable, and thus, sightings of specific species cannot be guaranteed.
